Do what you can, with what you have, where you are. -- Theodore Roosevelt

Integrate Your Assets

What do you own, anyway?

Okay, it may be easy to list your house, your car, and maybe a rental property or two. But what about your retirement accounts and investments? Do you know what you actually own in them?

Besides having a gap in understanding what you own, most people also have trouble understanding the connection between what you own and why you own it.

Your assets can be classified as Safety Assets, Use Assets, or Investments. Each of your assets can be categorized in one of these three ways. By doing that, you can better understand whether each asset is helping you or actually harming you.

Your assets should be helping to improve your cash flow now and in the future. Financial stability comes from having a plan for your assets that will cover your cash needs for the short-term, medium-term and the long-term.

The 49 Secrets of Money has already changed the way I look at my money on a daily basis. It has made me more conscious of my money, and helps me make better decisions on an on-going basis.

In looking at my Optimal Life during this week's exercise it was really valuable to me to hone in on how to manifest more of my passions vs. settling for the easy route. It is good to put it in writing and refine. I know that's so important to really make things happen.
